Wednesday night...June 22nd...completed the Granny square blanket I started on Sunday. I think I like using variegated yarns like this. This was fun and easy...
How did you sew this one together? It reminds me of how I have seen it done in a blanket my MIL owns but I haven't figured it out yet. Her's is crocheted together but not in each and every stitch.
First: I made all of the squares. Second: I added the Beige around all the squares... Third: I put all the squares in the order that I wanted the afghan. Then I take the first square and crochet the black around it...then you take your next square and start crocheting the black on it then attach from corner to corner on to the 1st square then continue around crocheting around the entire square. Then continue adding them this way attaching them to each other. I tuck in the ends as I complete each square so when you get to your last square you are finished. I may put an edge around this blanket. Haven't made my mind up yet.
My name is Linda, I've been an avid crocheter for over 40 years. I enjoy being with my husband who is my best friend and crocheting, hence my name "The Crocheting Fool" also know as Warpspeedlinda on Ravelry.

This afghan is beautiful! I love how the black sets off the other other colors. Maybe a simple double croheted edging on would be good.
Candy ~~
I was thinking maybe do one of those picot edging for something different.
Dunno might just leave it as is..
Your edging idea sound great! Let us know what you decide.
