A RED tire cover #4

Yeah!!! I made this tire cover for my friend who lives in Texas.
It's a perfect fit. Now I know I can make one for any size tire.

Isn't it cute.

I replied earlier to your post on "Tweety jeep car doily"--could you please repeat at least the end of link to pattern you used? I couldn't see what comes after "celtw"...

Pattern may appear elsewhere online, but I may not have time to search for awhile. Design could be called pinwheel or spinning star, I suppose. BESNITCHY posted pix on Flickr for "Pinwheel doily suncatcher" and regular doily that looks like one you made--maybe clear enough for experienced crocheter to use as guide.

I did browse a little among free doily patterns on www.crochetpatterncentral.com (one called Auriga might work for a car doily--tho not as eyecatching as yours! Your Multicolored "Original" has a serape Mexicana vibe to it, I think!

P.S. Anybody tried crocheting with plastic cord used for lanyards at Summer Camp crafts? I think I've seen it sold by the spool in kids section of Michaels Craft stores.

To help keep dust & grime off car doilies, is there some kind of product at automotive supplies stores meant as dust repellant for non-metal car hoods, like fabric or leather-like convertable car hoods?

Finally, this being County Fair season, made me wonder if a car doily might be entered for next year by somebody (maybe under "other crochet" category!)

I would love to get the pattern for this, or tell me how you started it, and maybe I could go from there. Its always hard to find stuff to make for guys and I know my son would think something like this on his (his wife's) Jeep. this is just amazing. I would have to find something that would hold up in the bad weather since I am in Indiana, but still awesome!
