Crocheting and knitting...

Made these little bangle bracelets yesterday..used old bangles and crocheted over them..so cute...hehehe Just take any scrap pretty yarn you have and single crochet around it...making them a multiple of six..then do single crochet in joining skip 2 stitches and do a 5 double crochet shell and repeat this around...fun fun fun Then the dish cloths are simple and easy.. Chain 34 Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook; (ch 1, skip next ch, sc in the next ch)16 times; ch 1, turn. (17 sc) Row 2: Sc in the first sc, sc in the next ch 1 space; (ch 1, skip next sc, sc inthe next ch 1 space) 15 times, sc in the last sc; ch 1, turn. (18 sc) Row 3: Sc in the first sc, ch 1, skip next sc, sc in the next ch 1 space; (ch1, skip next sc, sc in the next ch 1 space) 16 times, ch 1, skip the next sc,sc in the last sc; ch 1, turn. (17 sc) Rows 4-32: (Repeat rows 2 and 3) 14 times. . The knitted blanket pattern is found on Ravelry called Garter Squish. Fun to do..get a bag of scraps and go for it.

What is the recommended pattern for crocheting dishcloths, and how many rows are suggested for completion?
In the dishcloth pattern, what is the significance of repeating rows 2 and 3 a specific number of times (14 times)?
