Happy New Year!!!! 2010

I had a bunch of half used skeins of yarn and nothing to
do on New Years Day so I started this large granny square afghan.
Completed it last night and posted it today.
I forgot how much fun a large granny is to create.

Very pretty. I can't seem to get granny square afghans to be square. They tend to lean to one side when I lay them flat. Any suggestions?

Thank you all!

Do you complete a round then add a new color and continue to keep going around in the same direction?

I usually stop after one round cut the yarn and starting in any corner, flip the granny over so you are on the wrong side...then start a new color in any chain 2 corner.

If you do not change colors and continue in the same color when you get to the end of the round always slip stitch to the chain area chain 3 and turn your work...
You will always have one row right side one row wrong side throughout the entire granny.

works for me..hope it helps you
