American Indian blanket #2

Here's another one...made it while on vacation last week.

Chain 140, 150 or 160 depending on how large you want the blanket...I used a K hook... All single crochet
*1 row black, 1 row white, 1 row black, 3 rows solid, 3 rows variegated, 3 rows solid and repeat from *.
If single crocheting is to slow for you try half double crochet it would work just as well. I find sc very fast to do. This took me
4 nights while on vacation...

I am going to make this Afghan and I was wondering if you put fringe on this blanket? Thank You for your lovely patterns. Scooter

You don't turn your work for this, right? You start and end each row, leaving a bit of a tail for fringe, right? Doesn't it turn out like a parallelogram and need intense blocking? Or am I thinking of a different pattern?
