I had a bunch of half used skeins of yarn and nothing to do on New Years Day so I started this large granny square afghan. Completed it last night and posted it today. I forgot how much fun a large granny is to create.
Amy ~~ Do you complete a round then add a new color and continue to keep going around in the same direction?
I usually stop after one round cut the yarn and starting in any corner, flip the granny over so you are on the wrong side...then start a new color in any chain 2 corner.
If you do not change colors and continue in the same color when you get to the end of the round always slip stitch to the chain area chain 3 and turn your work... You will always have one row right side one row wrong side throughout the entire granny.
Very pretty and the colors are so nice too.
ReplyDeleteOh my WORD! That's just beautiful! Proving again just how gorgeous a a few scraps can be. Carry on, McDuff!
ReplyDeleteYour afghan is just beautiful !!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I can't seem to get granny square afghans to be square. They tend to lean to one side when I lay them flat. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteThank you all!
ReplyDeleteAmy ~~
